What missionary work is about

Image
A group of Liberian members arrive at the airport on October 3, 2016 to travel to the  Accra, Ghana Temple.       While these photos do not show missionaries, they depict what missionary work is about. Not only do we preach the gospel, baptizing people unto repentance, we also work with strengthening members (whether active or less so).  As we meet investigators, we picture them in white - two times. The first white they wear takes them to the baptismal font and through the gates of the kingdom. The second time takes them through the doors of the temple. As we have witnessed couples sealed, along with children sealed to them, we see great changes in their lives.  THIS is what missionary work is really about.

Primary Anniversary and Rainy Season

Image
On August 28, 2016, Bushrod Island District held a Primary Anniversary. Sister Carlson attended and enjoyed seeing so many of the children in attendance. Children participated in the event by reciting Articles of Faith and giving short talks. Some music was included as well. It was a very nice meeting. The two photos below were taken in Doe Community between the rains. And 2 photos of Gaye Town (near the Duala chapel) during rainy season: The next two photos show an area near Thinker Village. In the dry season it is a football field, and in the rainy season it is a lake. Below is a shot of Broad Street in downtown Monrovia between rainstorms - and taken in the morning, on a weekend when there was no traffic.
