Gardnersville & Bend and Stop apartments - Feb. 1, 2016

The Gardnersville "Apartments" This is actually one home - not divided into apartments. Each companionship has a bedroom and a bathroom to themselves, but they share the living/dining areas and the kitchen. That area, along with the  lattice-type brick above is where the stairs are built.

The next set  of Assistants to the President are Elder Wight who joined Elder Verdoni A view of the ruins of the Ducor Hotel, a luxury hotel from years back,  before its demise during the civil wars. (The highest point in Monrovia.) A gardner cleans ups fallen palm tree fronds - he even sweeps with them. Goodbye party for Elder & Sister Hezseltine (complete with silly gifts)  Elder & Sister Allen, Ryan & Shannon Busby, and Elder and Sister Wollenzien all enjoying the last party with the Hezseltine's. (The Busby's are a members who live here, where he works with Chevron. They entertain us and help us with many things. Both are returned missionaries.) Arrival Day - Jan.19, 2016

Welcome to Liberia, Elders! Back row: Elders Grissom, Okello, Beinbein, Akiem, Chilumba, Iyen, Lota, Schimelpfening, Eguko Front row: Elders Olaoluwa, Unyolo, Mendullo, Ndubuisi, Gyansah Orientation was held on Jan. 20, 2016: Elder & Sister Allen come in for some practical instruction.... ... while Sister Hezseltine takes care of some work in the office. And then the Elders are all on their way to their first areas! Elders Lota, Akiem, Grissom, Chilumba, and Schimpelpfening head in one direction. Elders Ndubuisi, Eguko, Mendullo, and Iyen go in another direction. Elder Olaoluwa and Sister Weah get ready for transport to their area. (Sister Weah is a local branch missionary helping us with a threesome of sisters before she goes on her own mission.) And finally the last vehicle departs with Elders Okello, Gyansah, Unyolo, and Beinbein  going to their first area.
