Ceremonies for handover of new Wells
July 11, 2015. As one of our first activities, President & Sister Carlson attended 2 ceremonies where we officially handed over new wells that were installed. One was for a community and the other for a school. The Mayor for the area and a former Senator were also in attendance.
On our way to the site of the new wells, we got to take a look at a latrine built by LDS Charities.

And the Mayor speaks also.
After President officially hands the well over to the community, he pumps it for the first official time. The water is received and tasted by the Senator and Mayor.
We then load up in our various vehicles and drive to the school for the next handover.
The children begin to take their seats in preparation for the ceremony.
Groups of children stood and recited memorized verses from the Bible.
